The Summerfield Charitable Trust are delighted to announce our sponsored event at the 2017 Cheltenham Literature Festival on Wednesday 11th Ocotober. The evening will be a riveting talk from Adventurer and Mountaineer Sir Chris Bonington. Sir Chris made the first British ascent of the North Wall of the Eiger and led the expedition that made the first ascent of The South Face of Annapurna, the biggest and most difficult climb in the Himalaya at the time (c1960). His Mountaineering career began in the 1950's and on into the 1980's and he is still travelling to this day, at the young age of 83. Tickets are now on sale and available through the Cheltenham Festivals website.
